“Quarrel of the Rooks – by Harrison Weir” is a full page book plate image, taken from the “Chatterbox Album of Animals”, published by W.W.Gardner, circa 1878. The short anecdote accompanying the illustration, takes the form of a poem and reads as follows:  “Said the old Rook to the young Rook, ‘Will you get out of that nest?’, Said the young Rook to the old Rook, ‘No; I like this place the best.’ Then the old one pecked the young one, Till he fairly turned him out; And that was why I could not sleep -, The rooks made such a rout.”
