“Mouse climbing up Aloe plant – by Harrison Weir” is a full page book plate image, taken from the “Chatterbox Album of Animals”, published by W.W.Gardner, circa 1878. The short anecdote accompanying the illustration, simply states: “This little mouse wished to get into a canary-bird’s cage, that he might eat some seed. So he climbed up the leg of a chair to the window-ledge, then up the side of a large flower-pot containing an Aloe-plant. Now he is climbing up the plant itself. One of its leaves touches the cage, and he will soon be there now, so his labour will not have been in vain.”
Prints currently available in A4, A3 and A2 sizing options.
