1878 – “Kurra” at the window

“Kurra at the window – by Harrison Weir” is a full page book plate image, taken from the “Chatterbox Album of Animals”, published by W.W.Gardner, circa 1878. The short anecdote accompanying the illustration, reads as follows:  “Kurra is a dog who took to us one day as we were riding home. He would not be driven away, and when we got in and shut the door in his face, he whined and howled and howled so dreadfully under our windows that we were obliged to open our doors and let him come in, and he has been with us ever since.”  (A very familiar story to many of us!)

Prints currently available in A4, A3 and A2 sizing options.
