1866 – Tommy’s Clever Trick


“Tommy’s Clever Trick” is an illustration accompanying a long poem about Tommy’s Clever Trick, his ability to steal milk by dipping his paw into the narrow topped jug and licking the milk and repeating the operation without leaving any spillages. It features in a delightful book entitled “Animal Sagacity”, edited by Mrs S.C.Hall, and published by S.W.Partridge, circa 1866. the image depicts a cat with a rather striking tabby pattern, caught in the act. Currently available in both A4 and A3 sizing options.
