1866 – Prize Horses: Hunters, at the Agricultural Hall, Islington

$7.00$28.00

This is one of two separate feature page images, of Prize Horses, that were winners at the Agricultural Hall, Islington and reported in the June 2nd, 1866 edition of “The Illustrated London News”. One of the images shows Horses of various breeds and patterns, and the other features Hunters. Two fine pages of coverage by the reporter-artist, Harrison Weir. In their day, horse shows were as popular as car shows would be today, as they provided the majority means of transportation, and of moving people and goods around the country. Hence, the proper structure, health and quality of all breeds of horses was paramount. These pages would be been warmly welcomed by all interested in the quality of British bloodstock. Wonderfully preserved for your enjoyment, these are now available in A4, A3 and A2 sizing options.
